I am a MSc student in the Movement Ecology Lab, working on foraging behavior movement of the Common Kestrel (Falco tinnunculus). My study focuses on the ability of kestrels to adjust their foraging patterns according to prey availability, both in time and place. Using high-throughput tracking devices, I aim to understand if kestrels use the ability to associate time and place in order to maximize their foraging behavior. In the future I hope to understand how young individuals acquire hunting skills using a comparative analysis of both young and adult’s movement data.
